USU tennis: Utah State women's team loses, 5-2, to Akron

Utah State women's tennis (3-3) lost, 5-2, to Akron (4-2) on Saturday morning in East Lansing, Michigan.

"We came out with really good energy in doubles and really took it to them at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles," head coach Sean McInerney said. "Singles was a real struggle from start to finish. Akron played exceptionally well and deserved to win. We will get better from today's result."

In doubles, sophomore Hannah Jones and Lucy Octave broke serve three times to win, 6-0, at the No. 3 spot against freshmen Anna Uljanov and Madison Wolfe.
