USU tennis: No. 43 Utah State men's tennis loses 4-0 to No. 40 Oregon

The 43rd-ranked Utah State men's tennis team (7-4, 1-0 Mountain West) lost, 4-0, to No. 40 Oregon (9-2, 0-0 Pac-12) on Wednesday night in Eugene.

In doubles, junior Samuel Serrano and freshman Valdemar Holm lost, 0-6, at the No. 2 spot against the No. 16-ranked duo of senior Cormac Clissold and junior Thomas Laurent. Senior Simon Stevens and sophomore Ty Gentry clinched the doubles point for Oregon with a 6-3 win at the No. 3 spot against senior Andrew Nakajima and sophomore Sergiu Bucur. Senior Jaime Barajas and freshman Jose Carvajal competed at the No. 1 spot against junior Armando Soemarno and freshman Charles Roberts, but the match went unfinished due to the results on the other courts.
