Utah State football players Baron Gajkowski and Jacoby Wildman earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSiDA) first-team Academic All-District VIII honors, it was announced Thursday.
Gajkowski, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound safety from Alpine, Utah (Lone Peak HS), has played in all 10 games for Utah State this season, with one start, and ranks fifth on the team with 42 tackles, which includes 1.0 sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss. He has also recorded one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery, one pass breakup and one quarterback hurry on the season.
Wildman, a 6-2, 265-pound defensive end from Logan, Utah (Logan HS), has played in all 10 games for Utah State, making four starts, and ranks sixth on the team and first among defensive linemen with 38 tackles, which includes 1.
