The Triple Team: Andy Larsen’s analysis of an enthralling, high-scoring contest between Jazz and champion Warriors

Don’t let that Jonas Jerebko scored the game’s winning basket obscure the biggest factor behind Golden State’s success: that they have two of the world’s three best players in Steph Curry and Kevin Durant. Both of those players were unstoppably brilliant for long stretches of tonight’s game, dragging the Warriors back through shotmaking prowess alone.

Durant finished with 38 points on 14-25 shooting, including only one three. He went to the line nine times. Curry, meanwhile, finished with 31 points on 13-24 shooting, shooting 5-9 from 3-point range. To hold those guys to 10 3-point attempts is a win, they average 16 per game.
