Anyone who has a regular ticket or pass may board with a friend without the need of an additional ticket. So for example, if four people are traveling together, only two people will need a ticket or pass.
UTA said in a news release that the promotion is designed to introduce public transportation to new riders and to increase overall ridership.
“This offer will give riders a chance to invite a neighbor to ride TRAX with them to work, bring a roommate along on the bus, or enjoy a date night ride on FrontRunner without the hassle of parking or bumper-to-bumper traffic,” it said.
