The University of Utah women’s basketball team trounced Utah State 79-44 on Monday night in Logan, led by a former Aggie.
Tilar Clark, who began her collegiate career at Utah State, led the Utes (8-2) with 17 points, shooting 6 for 9 from the field. Emily Potter added 16 points for Utah, while Megan Huff had 15 and Tori Williams 10.
Olivia West led Utah State (2-9) with 22 points, going 9 for 16 from the floor, while Hailey Bassett added 13 points.
Grand Canyon 59, Southern Utah 54 • In Phoenix, Breanu Reid led SUU with 15 points, and Whitney Johnson added 13, but the Thunderbirds’ late rally came up short as they fell to 1-9 on the season.
