Should Utah allow higher-alcohol beer in grocery stores? Utahns are split.

Large national brewing companies have said beer selection will decrease when Utah and Minnesota become the only two states to require 3.2 beer in grocery and convenience stores. One solution would be to allow higher-alcohol beers on the shelves. Utahns are split on the idea, according to a new poll, but the majority of Utah Republicans and most women oppose such a move.

Q: Would you support or oppose selling beer of higher alcohol content in grocery and convenience stores?

Source: Dan Jones & Associates talked to 803 registered Utah voters from Jan. 15 to 18. The poll has a margin of error of +/- 3.
