About 15 semitrailer trucks spun out on Interstate 15 near Cedar City in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday, closing the freeway’s northbound lanes, the Utah Highway Patrol reported.
UHP reported on its Twitter feed that the semis were traveling too fast for the winter weather. None of the trucks crashed, but they jackknifed or slid partway or fully off the road.
NB I-15 is closed near Cedar City. Troopers are reporting that they are dealing with about 15 semis that have spun out after traveling too fast for the winter weather conditions and are now blocking traffic.
