Here is an update on Wasatch Front canyons that were swamped by heavy rains, triggering mudslides that blocked roads and forced some evacuations:
• Little Cottonwood Canyon remained closed Saturday morning so crews could remove debris from multiple slides that reached the road, the Utah Department of Transportation website reported.
The next chance for vehicles to enter or leave the canyon will be between noon and 12:30 p.m., UDOT said.
