Red Butte Garden adds Modest Mouse to its concert series, Sept. 20

The Pacific Northwest rock band Modest Mouse will perform at Red Butte on Friday, Sept. 20, starting at 7 p.m., the venue announced Tuesday. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Members can buy tickets, starting Thursday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m., for $57. Non-members can buy tickets, starting Friday, Aug. 2, at 10 a.m., for $62.

Modest Mouse began in Issaquah, Wash., a few miles east of Seattle, when musician Isaac Brock met bassist Eric Judy (who parted with the band in 2012), and later found drummer Jeremiah Green.

The band made its first critical splash with its 2000 album “The Moon & Antarctica,” and charted its first hit in 2004 with “Float On,” off their album “Good News for People Who Love Bad News.
