Rector's free throws with 1.6 seconds left lift Utah State to rally victory over UVU

OREM — Utah State guard Shane Rector scored a team-high 21 points, including the game-winning free throw with 1.6 seconds to play, as the Aggies rallied to beat Utah Valley 80-79 in overtime at UCCU Center on Saturday.

UVU guard Conner Toolson put the Wolverines ahead by a point with 7.5 seconds remaining in the extra session on a driving layup in a back-and-forth overtime period.

Following a timeout, Rector drove the ball downcourt and UVU's Brandon Randolph was called for a foul. Rector calmly sank the first free throw to tie the game, then hit the second to give Utah State (5-4) the one-point edge.
