Provo is the musical city of the year, according to Vivid Seats

Absolutely, according to according to Vivid Seats. In its “2018: Year in Review,” the online ticket reseller has bestowed that honor on the Utah County city. According to Vivid Seats research, Provo leads the nation in the sale of tickets to musicals, per capita.

"We then compared that data to other cities across the U.S. and determined that folks in the Provo area seem to be the most invigorated theater fans in the country,” said Andrew Gretchko, digital PR specialist for the company.

Vivid Seats points to the Harris Fine Arts Center venue on the BYU campus as a draw, but also points out that Provoans bought tickets to shows like “Hamilton” and made the trek to Salt Lake City to see them.
