A person was killed Monday evening in Cottonwood Heights after a vehicle hit the person and fled the area.
The person was hit about 7:15 p.m. near the intersection of Fort Union Boulevard (about 7000 South) and Highland Drive (about 2000 East), said Sgt. Ryan Shosted. The vehicle then drove away, the Police Department tweeted.
The victim, who was considered to be in “very serious condition” after the crash, was pronounced dead later.
