The craziest thing is happening in Utah. Conservatives, liberals and independents are uniting to initiate a referendum on the incredibly unpopular tax bill that was passed recently by the Legislature.
It is wonderful to see this joint effort to remind elected officials that they are supposed to represent their constituents. It is tragic, however, that a similar effort is not happening all across the country.
Why aren’t all sides coming together to call out and hold our government accountable for continuing to separate families, cage and torture immigrant children, eliminate regulations that protect our air, water and land, attack the rights of women, people of color and our LGBTQ community, hurt the elderly, the poor and the sick?
