I read with disgust and anger the comments in The Salt Lake Tribune from state Rep. Jacob Anderegg, R-Lehi, regarding Proposition 3. The arrogance of this person stating that he has "political cover" for not implementing Prop 3 because 80 percent of the people in is district voted against it.
Anderegg’s statement reflects the quintessential Republican long-held philosophy of selfishness. Maybe in Anderegg’s District 13 no one needs help. But in other districts there are lots of Utahns who do need help.
Prop 3 was passed due to the efforts of Utah residents at the grass roots who see the need for the Medicaid expansion.
