Senior forward Daneesha Provo scored a career-high 27 points Monday night as the Utah women's basketball team rolled to a sixth straight victory to start the season, beating Seattle 89-62 at the Huntsman Center.
Megan Huff, another senior forward, scored all of her 23 points for the Utes in the first three quarters.
The Utes took a 50-31 halftime lead, sparked by Huff's 18 points and seven rebounds and Provo's 12 points and four steals.
Utah did not shoot especially well, but exploited Seattle's interior defense as the Utes' first 13 baskets came via layups.
Huff pushed her totals to 23 points and 11 rebounds as of late in the third quarter and the Utes took a 73-46 lead into the final period.
