In one of the closest races of the day, Tronson got to the wall in the boys 100-yard butterfly just ahead of Hurricane’s Ryan Bunn. Tronson’s winning time of 51.77 seconds was a trace better than Bunn’s 51.90. It was the first individual title for the Pioneers’ junior. “I’m very pleased with my time,” Tronson said. “I was hoping for a 52. I’m real happy.”
