On Wednesday night, Childs made sure he and the Cougars wouldn’t have to suffer the same fate this time around. In a 85-58 win over UVU, the BYU sophomore set a new career-high with 24 points and added 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks.
The game was the fifth time ever these two schools, separated by five miles of the same road, have each played each other, and the first time the game has been held in Orem. With a sellout crowd of 8,500 — the vast majority there for the Wolverines — UVU faltered.
