Cedar City police officers on Monday shot and killed a man who had been threatening his wife and her adult son, according to the Iron County Sheriff’s Office.
A report from the sheriff’s office said Cedar City officers responded to a call from the woman at about 1 p.m. Monday. When police arrived at a residence, they asked the man to come out with his hands up. The man approached the police and pointed a handgun at them. That’s when police shot the man multiple times. Police administered first aid, and EMTs who arrived at the scene declared the man dead.
