The felony charges against Woods Cross High School’s former baseball coach have been dropped after prosecutors were presented with additional evidence in the case.
Trevor J. Amicone, 30, had been accused of showing pornographic images and videos to three minor males during the 2015-16 school year, according to charges filed last February in 2nd District Court.
On Monday, however, Davis County prosecutors dismissed the three third-degree felony counts of dealing in harmful materials to a minor by an adult.
“As the Trevor Amicone case progressed and significant ongoing follow-up investigation and processing of newly acquired forensic evidence was done by both defense counsel and our office, it became clear that there was not a reasonable probability of conviction at trial.
