Provo • BYU linebacker Fred Warner has received an invitation to the 2018 NFL Scouting Combine after a standout performance at the Senior Bowl. Warner is the only Cougar invited to this year’s combine, which runs Feb. 27 to March 5 in Indianapolis.
NFL.com projects Warner, a four-year starter at BYU, as a fourth- or fifth-round draft pick and compares him to another former Cougar, Alani Fua.
Some NFL draft experts were calling Warner a top-50 draft prospect the week of the Senior Bowl when he shined in practices leading up to the event.
