Butler shuts down Collette, hands Utes second loss

Indianapolis, Ind. • The Utes were given their second loss of the season, losing 81-69 to Butler on Tuesday night in historic Hinkle Fieldhouse. Butler extended its nonconference win streak at home to 40 games.Butler’s Kelan Martin led all scorers with 29 points, while Paul Jorgensen (16 points) and Tyler Wideman (18 points) also had strong offensive performances.Freshman forward Donnie Tillman had 20 points and junior guard Sedrick Barefield scored 14 points top lead the Utes.Senior forward David Collette, the Utes leading scorer, was held scoreless until 5:09 remained in the game.The Utes (6-2) fell to 1-2 away from the Huntsman Center this season.
