Brad Rock: Utah is not the only instate school to interrupt rivalries

BYU and Utah State went through a period of inactivity, too. In this era, rivalries take a back seat to business.

SALT LAKE CITY — When Larry Krystkowiak canceled next year’s BYU-Utah basketball game, 2½ weeks ago, things didn’t go well. Breakups are so messy. The Ute coach has since been called dishonest, unethical and cowardly.
