The body of a man who drowned while swimming in the East Canyon Reservoir on Sunday has been recovered.
Search crews located the 25-year-old man late Sunday night, according to a spokesman for the Utah State Parks.
The North Salt Lake man, whose name has not been released, and his family had rented a pontoon boat on Sunday afternoon. He and two family members were swimming when the man, who was not wearing a life jacket, began to struggle in the cold water.
“They noticed he was kind of struggling and making his way back to the boat,” said Lt.
