77% of Utahns support laws protecting LGBTQ community — 2nd highest in the nation

More than three-quarters of Utahns support laws that protect the LGBTQ community from discrimination — the second-highest level of support in the nation, according to a new survey.

The Public Religion Research Institute research showed 77% of Utahns support and 19% oppose protecting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual and queer residents from discrimination in jobs, public accommodations and housing.
