3 killed in Utah when van crosses the center line and hits their car head on

Three people were killed Sunday in southern Utah when their car was struck by a van that crossed the median and struck them head-on.

According to the Utah Highway Patrol, the van was headed south on U.S. 89 near mile marker 34 at about 7:20 p.m. when it suddenly crossed the center line and hit the car, killing the driver and both passengers. The driver of the van was taken by helicopter to a hospital.
