Utah Jazz waive guard/forward Elijah Millsap

SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Jazz no longer have a Millsap on the roster.

Exactly one year after signing a 10-day contract with his older brother's old team, Elijah Millsap has been waived by the Jazz.

The move leaves the Jazz with one open roster spot.

Millsap, the younger brother of Paul, a Jazz fan favorite from 2006-13, played in 67 games for the Jazz over the past year. He averaged 4.2 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.1 assists, but defense was his specialty.

Millsap's contract would've become guaranteed if the Jazz hadn't waived him by the Thursday deadline.
