September 11, 2009 is a banner date in the history of the Utah Jazz franchise. On that Friday night in Springfield, Massachusetts, longtime Jazz coach Jerry Sloan and John Stockton, his floor general and arguably the greatest point guard ever to play in the NBA, were enshrined in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
