After years of flying under the radar, the basketball world is starting to catch on to a simple fact–the young core of the Utah Jazz is pretty darn good. After suffering through some of the worst seasons in decades, the young assets on the Jazz roster are maturing into a squad poised to crash the playoff party in the Western Conference.
In recent years, the team has rewarded some of its young veterans–Gordon Hayward, Derrick Favors and Alec Burks–with lucrative, long-term contracts for their efforts. Now, Jazz GM Dennis Lindsey has taken the first step in locking down the remainder of Utah’s stars-in-the-making.
