Man, fandom is a fickle thing. Entering the 2017-18 NBA season, hopes for the Utah Jazz in the West’s gauntlet remained high among a healthy portion of Jazz Nation despite some big-time departures. Now, just one month in, many of those same fans are calling for the team to tank.
Perhaps no Jazz player embodies this rollercoaster ride like Rodney Hood. After getting hyped as the team’s new go-to guy offensively, Hood struggled out of the gate. In short order, people were ready to pile dirt on his grave.
Now, he’s suddenly rocking the hardwood like the Talking Heads at CBGB circa 1975.
