The Australian national team is looking to make some noise at this summer’s Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. When asked recently about the Boomers’ goals, Utah Jazz forward Joe Ingles stopped short of saying it was medal or bust for the Aussies, but made it clear that they want to do something special.
“Our goal is obviously to go and get a medal and that being gold.” Ingles said.
The team announced on Tuesday that the Boomers will play a two-game exhibition set against a squad of college All-Stars from the Pac-12 conference in order to help prepare them for that medal run.
