To say that the 2017-18 season hasn’t gone as planned for the Utah Jazz would be a massive understatement. The squad is as injury-addled as last year and they’ve already let several winnable games slip through their fingers.
Meanwhile, Utah’s G-League affiliate — the Salt Lake City Stars — is working more closely with the Jazz than ever. In doing so, the Stars have realized the vision that prompted the Jazz to relocate the team from Boise, Idaho. On the court, though, the Stars have scuffled just as much as their parent club.
With Wednesday’s 116-104 loss to the Austin Spurs, they’ve extended their season-opening skid to seven games.
