Wins have been hard to come by for the Salt Lake City Stars during this inaugural campaign. The Utah Jazz D-League affiliate club won just three of its first 16 games after moving from Boise, Idaho to the Salt Lake Valley this season. However, the team is 4-4 over the last eight games and has been getting some big performances from players like Tyrone Wallace and Sundiata Gaines.
It’s a trend they’ll look to continue when the Stars play live in front of NBA decision-makers at the 2017 D-League showcase from January 18-22.
The annual scouting event, which will be held in the home of the Toronto Raptors’ affiliate, Raptors 905 — Mississauga, Ontario, Canada — brings every D-League team to one city where general managers and executives from all 30 NBA teams can watch them play.
