Salt Lake bids farewell to Kobe, as Rodney Hood torches the Lakers

SALT LAKE CITY — Kobe Bryant won't visit Salt Lake again as a player, and Rodney Hood hopes he will revisit the zone he was in Monday night frequently.

Hood had 30 points on 8-of-9 3-point shooting all in the first half as the Utah Jazz beat the Los Angeles Lakers 123-75 in Vivint Smart Home Arena.

Eight makes from beyond the arc broke the team record for one half, and tied the game record, which belonged solely to Jeff Hornacek.

In Bryant's last game in Utah, he contrasted Hood's sizzling shooting with his own 1-of-11 mark, with just 5 total points.
