In front of a European record crowd of 26,135 fans at Stade Pierre-Mauroy in Lille, France, Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert and the French national team showed their depth and easily handled Turkey in the Round of 16, winning 76-53 to advance to the quarterfinals of EuroBasket.
Not much was required of Gobert, who anchored the middle with seven points, three rebounds and a block in 20 minutes of play. Still, the French team outscored their opponent by 22 points when Gobert was on the floor.
Nando De Colo led the French effort with 15 points and seven assists.
