The Utah Jazz and Derrick Favors are reuniting.
Favors spend just over eight seasons with the Jazz before he was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans in the offseason of 2019.
The 29-year-old big man has been rumored for months to have been interested in coming back to Utah and the rumors were made reality when The Athletic’s Tony Jones reported on Friday that the fan favorite had agreed to a three-year deal worth roughly $27 million.
The defensively-minded Favors returns to a team that has significantly upgraded on the offensive end since his last run with the Jazz and gives the team strength in the frontcourt that was missing throughout the 2019-20 campaign.
