NBA is tentatively set to begin the 2020-21 season on December 22nd

According to Shams Charania the National Basketball Players Association has tentatively approved the NBA’s proposal for the new shortened season and it looks like it’s right around the corner.

The National Basketball Players Association has voted to tentatively approve NBA’s proposal for the 2020-21 campaign starting on Dec. 22 and playing 72-game season, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Another proposal had been put forth by players to start the season in January but it’s clear that would likely kept them from hitting their required amount of televised games and would also have them compete for ratings with the Olympic games in Japan.
