Eighteen college football games were played Thursday night to open the 2015 season, but there's little question most eyes were on the Utah vs. Michigan contest, as Jim Harbaugh made his debut leading the Wolverines.
The Utes were expected by most to win and they did so, 24-17, but most of the national reaction to the game concerned Harbaugh. Still, writers couldn't completely ignore the victors. Here's what a few had to say about Utah:
"Losing on the road to a physical Utah team that won nine games last year and entered this season as a potential Pac-12 South spoiler is no great shame," wrote Yahoo's Pat Forde.
