Morning links: Ricky Rubio opens up about free agency; Rudy Gobert says we 'witnessed the end of tanking' after draft lottery

SALT LAKE CITY — For Ricky Rubio, the future is a bit of an unknown right now as the second-year Utah Jazz point guard will be an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

The 28-year-old opened up about his impending free agency with EuroHoops, stressing how important this next contract will be for him, since he will enter his 30s soon. In finding a team to play for, Rubio said he’d like to “win the (championship) ring being the protagonist because a ring without playing wouldn’t feel like mine.”

Rubio also addressed the reports of the Jazz being willing to trade him last season, saying he understands it because of the business nature of sports.
