“We were deeply saddened to learn of the passing today of Minnesota Timberwolves head coach and president Flip Saunders. Flip was a formidable opponent, well-respected coach and friend to many in and around the game of basketball. We send our deepest condolences to Flip’s family, the Minnesota Timberwolves organization and those whose lives he touched throughout his life and career. He will be missed. ”
