Jazz notes: Indiana homecoming goes well for Hayward and Lyles

INDIANAPOLIS — As usual, replicate No. 20 Gordon Hayward Utah Jazz jerseys were easy to spot around Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

Indiana still loves the Butler hero.

The feeling is mutual, of course, with the local-boy-done good from Brownsburg, a suburb of Indianapolis. For the first time since 2011, he experienced a victory in his hometown, so all the better for him.

The Jazz had lost four in a row in Indiana.

"It's always nice to pick one up in front of friends and family," said Hayward, who had a quiet 11 points, three assists (to three turnovers) and one steal in Utah's 97-76 victory Saturday night.
