Jazz forward Trevor Booker has surgery on fractured nose

The Utah Jazz announced Trevor Booker had outpatient surgery on Thursday to pair a fractured nose, an injury he suffered in a pickup basketball game recently.

The 6-foot-8, 230-pounder is expected to be fully ready for action when the Jazz open training camp.

Booker is headed into his second season with Utah, after averaging 7.2 points, five rebounds and 1.1 assists per game in 2014-15.

According to the Jazz, Booker will still host "Booker's Breakfast Assist," a fan meet-and-greet and cereal drive, on Saturday at Smith's Food & Drug at 876 E. 800 South in Salt Lake City.
