MINNEAPOLIS -- Gordon Hayward scored 16 of his 18 points in the fourth quarter and the road-weary Utah Jazz finished a five-game road trip with a 93-84 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.
Hayward had just two points on 1-of-6 shooting in the first three quarters. But he shot 6 of 9 in the fourth and Derrick Favors chipped in 19 points and five rebounds to get the Jazz a much-needed victory as they make a push for the playoffs. The Jazz (36-37) entered tied with Dallas for eighth in the Western Conference and have won seven of their last nine games.
