Flying bat interrupts Utah Jazz players Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio’s pregame routine

SALT LAKE CITY — The pregame warmups of Utah Jazz guards Donovan Mitchell and Ricky Rubio were interrupted by an any unlikely object on Friday night.

A flying bat soared near the court roughly an hour before the Jazz’s tipoff against the Minnesota Timberwolves at Vivint Arena, slipping past numerous security guards before finally being caught in a net by the Jazz Bear mascot.

Fans cheered as Jazz Bear strolled off the court with the flying mammal in the net as neither Mitchell nor Rubio could fully focus.
