On Day 2 of action from EuroBasket 2017, Utah Jazz point-man Ricky Rubio and the vaunted Spanish national team tipped off their tournament in Cluj-Napoca, Romania with a Group C bout against Montenegro. There was no stopping the world’s No. 2-ranked team as Spain secured a 99-60 victory.
They were led by New York Knicks big man Wily Hernangomez, who hit 6-of-7 shots from the field off the bench. In just 19 minutes of play, Hernangomez scored 18 points, adding nine rebounds and a steal for good measure.
In a losing effort, Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic notched 16 points and seven boards for Montenegro.
