Brad Rock: Draft pick is fine, but Jazz now need some grownups

SALT LAKE CITY — A month before the Jazz selected Morris Almond in the NBA draft in 2007, the headline in the Deseret News said, “Patience, hard work — it’s the Jazz way.”

Two years later, a Salt Lake Tribune headline said, “Utah Jazz ask for patience as they build NBA title contender.”

In 2010, an NBA.com headline said, “Patience could equal big payoff for Jazz in draft lottery.”

This January, SLCdunk.com mused, “Jazz family, the circle of life, and the need for patience.”

Which raises one question: Are we there yet?
