Births, marriage, basketball and moving: What the Jazz players did this summer

SALT LAKE CITY — For all the talk last April that the Utah Jazz could make a major splash during the offseason, their summer ended up being a rather vanilla one. Rookies Trey Lyles, Tibor Pleiss and Raul Neto were the only players to sign fully guaranteed contracts, and end-of-the-bench energy guy Jeremy Evans was the only departure.

Many of the players’ personal lives were very busy, however. Derrick Favors and Gordon Hayward became fathers for the first time, Joe Ingles got married, Rudy Gobert played for his native France in international competition and Neto and Pleiss moved to the United States.
