It has been five years since the Utah Jazz hired Dennis Lindsey as the club’s General Manager. Oh how time flies. Shortly after Lindsey was hired he made a promise that still rings in my ears, “We will not skip steps.” Jazz Nation, do you remember?
It was widely understood at the time that Dennis was talking about roster building and player development. Hiring the right coaching staff was also necessary. We now know that the native from Texas is a man of his word. The current roster has been masterfully built.
The team is a mix of young developing talent including Gordon Hayward, Rudy Gobert, Alec Burks and Derrick Favors combined with carefully selected veterans George Hill, Joe Johnson and Boris Diaw.
