In the final tournament of the fall season, the 2015-16 Sun Belt Player to Watch showed why she earned the honor.
Junior Agustina Serio led the women’s tennis team at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Texas Regional in Waco over the weekend. Her run ended in the quarterfinals, but not before knocking off the No. 1 seed of the tournament, Texas A&M Saska Gavrilovska, in the second round.
She also paired with senior Angeles de los Rios in doubles to win the consolation bracket championship. They defeated opponents from Incarnate Word, Stephen F. Austin and Texas State.
