The women’s golf team concluded its inaugural season at the Sun Belt Conference Women’s Golf Championships on Tuesday at the Raven Golf Club in Sandestin, Florida.
After entering the final 18 in third place, UTA fell a few spots behind, closing out the tournament with an overall score of 73-over-par 925 to take eighth place among the 11-team field.
The Mavericks were led by freshman Ava Schwienteck, who tied for eighth at 12-over 225.
Freshman Sydney Garber followed three strokes behind Schwienteck at 15 over, while freshman Madigan Murray followed four behind at 16 over.
Freshman Kate Tran rounded out the Mavericks as she placed in a tie for 42nd at 30 over.
